Codoping of phosphorus and nickel enhance electrocatalytic dechlorination performance of Pd-based catalyst

Chlorinated aromatic compounds are important raw materials or intermediates in many industries, but they highly toxic and difficult to degrade the natural environment. Electrocatalytic dechlorination technology can transform chlorinated with high toxicity into substances low easy degradation, so it has broad application prospects. Compared other metal catalysts, Pd-based catalysts have highest electrocatalytic activity. However, price of palladium limits large-scale this technology. Hence, Ni doping strategy was used reduce usage Pd paper, Pd-Ni Pd-Ni-P were successfully prepared, performance 4-chlorophenol studied. The results showed that catalyst had activity, mass activity 1.69 times pure catalyst, use reduced by 26.67%.
